Scholarship Application Process
Unaccredited institutions must seek prior approval for any institutional scholarship or grant offered to students through the Scholarship/Grants Application Form. Request this form from your institution's Regulatory Specialist.
GNPEC defines scholarships and grants as funds provided to students that do not have to be repaid.
GNPEC requires that both scholarships and grants have conditions attached that must be met for the funds to be continued term to term or year to year for a student.
The following guidelines apply to scholarships and grants for GNPEC authorized schools:
- Criteria must be expressed and adhered to.
- Scholarship/grant opportunities must be fair and equitable. For example, they cannot be used to artificially reduce tuition for one group of students based on when they attend in order to bolster enrollment.
- Scholarships/grants cannot come from funding that would raise the tuition for other students.
- Scholarship/grant income and expenses must be reported on the institution’s Financial Statement.
- Scholarship/grant funds must be documented in the recipient’s financial records.
The institution's RS will review the completed Scholarship/Grant Application form to ensure it meets the required criteria.
