How to Search - School Categories

  1. Select the "Filter" icon (that looks like a funnel) to the right of the search bar.
  2. A blue button that says "+ Add Filter" will appear. Select it to start the search.
  3. A bar will appear with the option to "Select a field" to search, such as "Status."
  4. Next, a second bar will appear with the option to "Select an operator," such as "Equals."
  5. A third bar will appear with a dropdown of terms that are apply to the selected field, such as "Authorized."
  6. A blue button that says "Apply" will appear. Select it to complete the search.

In this example, searching for a "Status" that "Equals" "Authorized" will pull all currently authorized institutions.

The different types of "Status" a school can have are below:

  • “Authorized” schools have completed the full GNPEC review process.
  • “Closed” schools are those which are no longer operating in Georgia.
  • “Complete” schools are exempt schools which have completed the required process.
    • Using the “Exemption Type” filter allows for a specific group of exempt schools to be searched. Explanations of the different categories for this filter can be found on the Exemption page of this website.
  • "Expired" schools have not completed all review processes by their expiration date.

The "Program Monitoring Status" indicates whether a program meets the state benchmarks of a 50% graduation rate and a 60% placement rate.

  • "N/a" is for newly authorized programs.
  • "No Enrollment" is for programs that have not had students for over a year.
  • "No" or "Low" are for programs that meet benchmarks.
  • "Yes," "Moderate," or "High" are all for programs that do not meet at least one of the benchmarks.
