About GNPEC
The Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC) was established by legislation enacted in 1990. It works to 1) assure prospective and enrolled students that the program of study and supporting elements of the institutions meet minimum standards, 2) assure prospective employers that institutions have been vetted for providing graduates with appropriate job skills, and 3) assure the general public, federal agencies, and other state agencies that programs meet minimum standards.
Mission
The agency’s mission is to ensure that each authorized nonpublic postsecondary educational institution in Georgia is satisfying its commitments to hardworking Georgians through sound academics and financial stability.
Vision
The vision of the agency is to promote excellence, efficiency, and systematic improvement in the regulation of nonpublic postsecondary educational institutions to ensure quality education for improving the workforce in Georgia and the lives of Georgia’s citizens.
