August 2018 Newsletter

August 3, 2018

GNPEC has restructured the position of Standards Administrator into two new positions: Senior Regulatory Specialist and Regulatory Specialist.

  • Regulatory Specialists are focused on the facilitation of the authorization process of an assigned group of institutions. As previously assigned, this work includes application review and approval, complaint management, and site visit evaluation.
  • Senior Regulatory Specialists are experienced GNPEC staff that are responsible for both the facilitation of the authorization process of an assigned group of institutions as well as agency wide project management

GNPEC is currently working to update the website, EDvera, and all supporting documentation to reflect these changes. We appreciate your patience with any temporary title inconsistencies as we complete this process.

Upcoming EDvera/Authorization Meeting

GNPEC is hosting another training session for those interested in learning more about how to use the Edvera system. GNPEC staff members will provide an overview of the EDvera system, demonstrate the features that GNPEC finds most important, and open the floor to questions from institutions.  This session is NOT mandatory; rather, it is being provided to help users who want to learn and become more proficient with the system’s functions.

The training session will be held via webinar (online) on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 10 AM to 12 PM. More details regarding access to the webinar platform will be made available closer to the session date. If you would like to participate, please RSVP by Friday, August 10, 2018 by sending an email to Adam Hawk at Please include your name, the name of your institution, the names and email addresses of the school representatives who wish to participate, and any particular topics you would like to hear discussed at the training.
