Start a New Program?
NPEC expectations are that a school fully develops a program prior to submitting a new program application.

Prepare your program. A fully developed program will include the following:
Curriculum that meets industry standards, meets GNPEC’s Minimum Standards Criteria, and will equip students to be employed upon graduation.
- Review GNPEC’s Published Guidelines for content expectations
- Textbook(s) to support the curriculum, equipment needed to deliver the program, adequate facilities to deliver the program, and a qualified instructor ready to teach the program if authorized.

Lesson Plan that fits the delivery schedule the school plans to use

Syllabus that summarizes all relevant program information

Submit the New Program Application in Edvera
Complete all required fields.

Pay the nonrefundable Program Evaluation Fee
Fees can be paid using the online payment portal.

The submitted application is reviewed by the agency, and feedback is provided
Feedback must be addressed prior to the evaluation.

The program is either authorized or denied
The decision is based on the program evaluation.

If authorized, the program can be advertised for enrollment
Maintain compliance with Minimum Standard 9.
