Institutional Proposal for GNPEC Authorization

The mission of the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC) is to ensure that each authorized in-state nonpublic and out-of-state postsecondary educational institution doing business in the State of Georgia is educationally sound and financially stable. In order to support this responsibility, GNPEC requires the submission and approval of an Institutional Proposal prior to receiving an invitation to attend the Initial Applicant Training meeting and access to the Initial Authorization Application. Please note that the Initial Applicant Training occurs on the first Wednesday of the month, and proposals must be received at least one week prior to the training to be included. Otherwise, you will be invited to attend the following month's training.

Accredited institutions are limited to ten new program applications included in the Application Fee. Each additional program during the initial authorization application process will be subject to the Program Evaluation Fee.

When do you plan to begin offering instruction?

I understand that I will not be given access to Edvera to begin the Initial Authorization Application until I have attended the Initial Authorization Training. (required)

I understand that if there has been no activity on the status of any document (application) in Edvera after three (3) months, meaning the application's status changing from “Unsubmitted” to “Pending RS Approval” or from “Reverted to Institution” to “Pending RS Approval” and no modification to its content as requested by the Regulatory Specialist, it will be removed from GNPEC records. Should Authorization be sought in the future, it would be treated as a new Initial Authorization Application, including any applicable fees. (required)

I understand that initial applicants will have one year from the time the application is assigned to a Regulatory Specialist to complete the authorization application process. If authorization is not fully attained within the one-year deadline, the institution will be required to begin the initial application process, including resubmission of the proposal, Application Evaluation Fee, and Initial Applicant Training to continue. Any fees previously paid are not refundable. (required)
