The following resources have been created by the Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission. They can be used by the institution as a resource when developing materials needed for the authorization process or for completion to maintain compliance with GNPEC procedural requirements.

Overview of Legislative Changes Effective July 1, 2022
Senator John Albers proposed legislative changes affecting GNPEC. SB 333 aimed to expand exemptions, eliminate Agent Permits, remove bonding requirements, and increase the abilities of the TGTF. SB 333 passed through the Senate and the House and was signed by Governor Kemp on May 2, 2022 for a July 1, 2022 effective date.

Bonds may be canceled after July 1, 2022.

An authorized institution has satisfied its TGTF obligations if it has made 5 payments into the TGTF by January 1, 2022. If five payments have not been made by January 1, 2022, the institution will be required to participate in the fund for 7 years total.
